Philip C. Curtis

Philip C. Curtis is a solo practitioner who specializes in immigration and naturalization law and criminal defense.  Mr. Curtis was first exposed to the U.S. immigration law system after he married a foreign national and went through the immigration process with his wife.  Since then he has accumulated over 19 years of experience representing families and businesses with respect to U.S. immigrant and non-immigrant visa matters.

Mr Curtis's interest and experience in criminal law began in law school when he volunteered for two non-profit organizations: Legal Services for Women with Children and the East Bay Community Law Center. After graduating from law school and gaining some experience in private practice, Mr. Curtis acted as a volunteer trial attorney for the Washtenaw County Public Defenders Office for several years.  Mr. Curtis is also regularly appointed as a criminal defense attorney in Jackson County where a conflict of interest exists for the Office of the Public Defender.
